A small monkey’s foot is stuck in a big tree. My sister brought milk for him to drink.

One bright and sunny morning, I was playing near the big banyan tree in our backyard when I suddenly heard a faint cry for help. Curious, I looked up and saw a tiny monkey with a worried expression on its face. To my surprise, I noticed that one of its feet was caught in the thick branches of the tree. The little monkey was struggling to free itself, but the more it moved, the more entangled it seemed to become.
The monkey was no bigger than my hand, with soft brown fur and bright, shiny eyes full of fear. It looked so helpless and scared, and I immediately felt a rush of sympathy for the tiny creature. I called out to my sister, who was nearby, and told her what I had seen. She quickly understood the situation and decided to help.
My sister went inside and returned with a glass of cool, fresh milk. She knew that milk would help calm the frightened monkey and give it some comfort. Carefully, she approached the tree, speaking softly to soothe the little animal. The monkey looked at her curiously, still trembling, but it seemed to recognize the kindness in her voice.
Gently, my sister held out the glass of milk near the monkey’s mouth. The tiny creature hesitated at first, but then, thirsty and tired from struggling, it leaned forward and took a small sip. The milk was cold and sweet, and it seemed to relax the monkey a little. After drinking, the monkey looked at us with grateful eyes and stopped trembling so much.
With patience and care, my sister slowly reached out her hand to try and free the monkey’s foot from the tangled branches. It was a delicate task because pulling too hard might hurt the tiny animal. After some careful work, she managed to untangle the monkey’s foot from the branch. The little monkey jumped down from the tree and looked at us happily, as if saying thank you.
Our small hero was finally free! The monkey didn’t run away immediately but stayed close for a moment, as if to say goodbye. Then, it scampered up a nearby tree, swinging from branch to branch. Before disappearing into the leaves, it looked back at us with a bright, grateful smile.
That day taught me an important lesson — kindness and patience can help save someone in need. My sister’s quick thinking and caring heart made a small difference in the life of a tiny creature. From then on, I realized how important it is to look out for others, even the smallest and most helpless among us.
