The two monkeys Santa calls Bongo to come play in the water. Bongo is afraid of water.

Santa’s jungle home was buzzing with excitement. Two playful monkeys, Bongo and his friend Santa, loved to explore and have fun. One sunny morning, Santa called out to Bongo, “Come on, Bongo! Let’s go play in the water!”

Bongo’s eyes widened. Water? That made him nervous. He had always been afraid of getting wet and didn’t like the feeling of water splashing on his fur. He hesitated, scratching his head nervously.

Santa smiled warmly. “Don’t worry, Bongo. It’s just a little splash. Come see, it’s fun!” Santa jumped into a shallow pond, splashing water happily. The cool water shimmered in the sunlight, and tiny fish darted around.

Bongo looked at Santa with big eyes. His heart pounded a little. He remembered how water made him uncomfortable, and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to try. But Santa’s friendly face made him feel safe.

“I don’t know, Santa,” Bongo said softly. “Water makes me afraid.”

Santa sat down nearby and gently said, “That’s okay, Bongo. Sometimes, trying new things can be a little scary. But I’ll be right here with you. We can take it slow, and I promise it will be fun!”

Bongo thought about it. He saw how happy Santa was, splashing and playing in the water. Maybe it wasn’t so bad after all. Slowly, he edged closer to the pond’s edge. Santa reached out a paw and gently helped Bongo dip his toes into the water.

At first, Bongo jumped back, surprised by the cool feeling. But then, he saw a tiny fish swimming past his foot. Curious, he inched a little closer, giggling as the water tickled his toes.

Before long, Bongo was splashing around, playing and laughing with Santa. The water didn’t seem so scary anymore. It was cool and refreshing, and he felt happy he had tried something new.

From that day on, Bongo wasn’t afraid of water. He knew that with a little courage and a good friend by his side, he could conquer his fears and discover new fun adventures.
